Stott and May Inc. is seeking an interim Head of IT to lead the IT Support and Infrastructure function for a 3-month period. You will oversee the IT roadmap, security posture, and external providers while ensuring reliable services across the organisation.

You will drive ITIL-based service management, manage budgets and technology expenditure, and balance strategic leadership with hands-on delivery in a complex, high-service environment.

• Strong experience leading an IT Support and Infrastructure team with a Microsoft-based environment.

The Role

We are working with an established organisation looking for a Head of IT to lead its IT Support and Infrastructure function. This is a senior leadership role, responsible for managing the internal IT team and third-party technology providers while ensuring reliable, secure and efficient IT services across the organisation. You will oversee the IT roadmap, infrastructure, service delivery, cyber security, suppliers and key technology projects, while supporting continuous improvement across the IT function.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the organisation’s Microsoft-based IT environment and infrastructure.

• Proven experience as a Head of IT, IT Manager, Infrastructure Manager or similar senior IT leadership role.
• Strong experience leading an IT Support and Infrastructure team.
• Strong Microsoft technology background across the IT environment is essential.
• Experience managing Microsoft-based infrastructure, cloud services, networks, servers and endpoints.
• Strong understanding of IT service management and ITIL principles.
• Experience managing third-party IT providers, suppliers and contracts.
• Experience managing IT projects, budgets and technology roadmaps.
• Good understanding of cyber security, incident response, GDPR and data protection.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to balance strategic IT leadership with hands‑on operational management.
• Microsoft certifications.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Entra ID and Intune.
• Experience overseeing disaster recovery and business continuity.
• Experience within a complex, high-service or customer-focused organisation.
