Job Title: Head of Infrastructure Projects and Contracts
Salary:£66,336 - £70,276
35 Hours per Week
Location: Hybrid - Wildwood, Worcester and Home

The Role:

We’re looking for an experienced professional from a civil engineering, construction, or project management background to lead the planning, delivery, and performance of a wide-ranging infrastructure portfolio.From new rail stations and highways to schools and sustainable transport, your work will help shape communities and support economic growth across the county.

What You’ll Be Doing:

You’ll lead a multidisciplinary team overseeing the successful delivery of major and minor capital projects, managing everything from strategy to execution. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Strategic Leadership: Drive long-term planning for infrastructure delivery and manage a high-performing team of project and contract professionals.
• Project Delivery: Oversee a diverse programme of capital projects, ensuring quality, governance, and cost control.
• Supplier & Contract Management: Procure and manage key infrastructure contracts, ensuring performance and continuous improvement.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Be a trusted advisor and spokesperson, building strong relationships across the council and beyond.
• Financial Oversight: Manage multi-million-pound budgets, with clear KPIs and performance tracking.
