Code Wizards are seeking a proactive, dynamic, and experienced Head of IT to spearhead a new arm within our company. This role will involve acting as the IT manager for security and compliance, ensuring our operations are secure, efficient, and aligned with industry-leading best practices. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of experience from the games industry and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Lead the IT team in implementing security measures and managing IT operations.

- Collaborate with internal teams and clients to deliver exceptional IT services.

- Bootstrap the new IT arm, actively engaging in hands-on tasks as needed.

- Conduct vulnerability assessments and manage incident response and monitoring.

- Set up and configure consoles and development kits (Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo) with multiple network connections.

- Negotiate SLAs with clients and manage relationships with studios.

- Collect and analyse user feedback to continuously improve IT services.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

ESSENTIALS:

- A passion and knowledge of games, either from working in the sector or a deep love of playing games.

- Background in a managed service provider environment.

- Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to take an active role in IT operations.

- Good knowledge and experience of activating, managing and securing: Microsoft 365, Microsoft Power Automate, Microsoft Forms, InTune, SharePoint, and OneDrive.

- Experience of running teams and a service desk.

NICE TO HAVE:

- Proven experience in the games industry.

- Experience working with publishers in the gaming sector.

- Previous experience in an outsourced IT management provider.

- Knowledge of incident response protocols and monitoring tools.

- Experience in collating user feedback for service improvement.

- Strong negotiation skills for managing SLAs with clients.

- Knowledge and experience of CoPilot, especially for security purposes

- Familiarity with Azure and/or AWS.

- Familiarity with Perforce.

- Knowledge of GPU and consumer games hardware.
