Job summary

Deerfoot IT Resources Limited is seeking a Head of Information Security in London. This senior role will set the direction for information security across an international organisation, reporting to the Global Head of Technology.

You will shape controls, oversee vulnerability management, security monitoring and incident response, and communicate risk to Executives. The role is hands-on and contributor-level, with hybrid working and strong influence on security standards.

Qualifications

• Hands-on information or cybersecurity experience with practical security implementations.
• Experience securing enterprise network and cloud environments.
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Azure security.
• Understanding identity, authentication and privileged access.
• Experience applying NIST CSF, CIS Controls or ISO 27001 as practical tools.

London (Hybrid -2 Days Onsite, 3 Days WFH per week)

Up to £125,000 depending on skills and experience + Benefits + Bonus

Are you a hands-on security professional ready to set the direction for information security at an international organisation? This Head of Information Security role is a new, senior position reporting to the Global Head of Technology, with real influence over what good security looks like.

What You'll Be Doing

• Setting the information security direction, standards and priorities for an international business
• Defining what good security looks like and shaping proportionate, practical controls
• Challenging network, infrastructure and cloud configurations constructively with engineers and suppliers
• Providing expertise and oversight across vulnerability management, security monitoring and incident response
• Explaining security risk and its business impact clearly to Executives
• Seeing improvements through to implementation with teams who do not report to you

What You'll Bring

• Significant information or cybersecurity experience, grounded in hands-on technical work
• Strong experience securing enterprise network and infrastructure environments
• Good knowledge of cloud security, ideally within Microsoft 365 and Azure
• A strong understanding of identity, authentication, privileged access and access control
• Experience applying NIST CSF, CIS Controls or ISO 27001 as practical tools, with a record of improving security standards and policies
• Desirable: Google Enterprise knowledge, a recognised security certification, experience in an international or multi-site organisation, publishing, media or another IP-rich sector

Please note: This is a senior, hands-on individual-contributor role rather than the leadership of a security team.
