Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in the leisure/entertainment industry.
  • Experience managing a large team is essential.
  • Basic project management skills and strategic mindset preferred.
  • Experience with Admissions / Ticketing Systems is a plus.
  • Proficient in Excel, analyzing large data sets.

Head of Indirect Sales Operations

Location: London, Arbor

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Contract Type: Permanent, salaried

We are recruiting for a Head of Indirect Sales Operations, who will be responsible for the operational support and delivery of the Indirect Sales teams across Merlin, driving operational excellence while maximizing revenue opportunities through a solution-based approach. The Head of Indirect Sales Operations will indirectly manage the 4 regional Sales & Operations Executives supporting the Indirect Sales teams - UK, EU, APAC and North America.

The Head of Indirect Sales Operations will support new business development activities on a global level from new products to partnerships or new attractions, they will ensure best practice and identify new solutions with the relevant tracking and documentation in place to further enhance the activities of the Indirect Sales Team.

As a key partner in new business development and digital trade, the Head of Indirect Sales Operations will collaborate with various departments across Merlin to identify areas for improvement and documentation of process, always ensuring compliance, and driving efficiencies across digital platforms to maximise accurate data capture.

The Head of Indirect Sales Operations will work closely with the Digital & Data teams to continuously improve our use of technology and, having previously worked on the presentation of business cases, you will be well versed in preparing new business cases for system improvements, efficiencies, optimisation and budgetary considerations.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Must have at least 5 years’ experience working in leisure, entertainment industry
  • Experience managing a team is essential, ideally a large team
  • Basic project management skills & experience is advantageous, with a strategic and tactical mindset
  • Experience working with Admissions / Ticketing Systems and an understanding of a B2B sales environment is preferred
  • Proficient in Excel, with significant experience analysing and utilising large data sets
  • An exceptional communicator with the ability to manage and influence stakeholders of all levels, both internal and external
  • Able to develop and track initiatives and change management in alignment with business cases as necessary
