Job summary

East Kent Colleges Group seeks a Head of Inclusive Learning to develop and lead an inclusive learning support service, promoting independence for learners with additional needs and ensuring support aligns with the curriculum.

You will provide strategic and operational leadership for inclusive learning, safeguarding, progression mentoring, careers guidance and student experience services, working with senior leaders and external partners to drive excellence in learner support.

Qualifications

• Background in education and experience of supporting students with additional needs.
• Good understanding of Educational and Health Care Plan management is essential.
• A teaching qualification is desirable; experience of line managing individuals and/or leading a team is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for inclusive learning, student support, safeguarding, progression mentoring, careers guidance and student experience services.
• Lead the day-to-day management of the inclusive learning provision and ensure it is integrated into the curriculum.
• Collaborate with senior leaders, curriculum teams, external agencies and local schools to champion inclusion and drive excellence across learner support.
