Job Description:

Head of Illicit Trade Prevention (ITP) – based either in Czech Republic or Slovakia, with an excellent package including bonus and benefits.

The Role: Join this global leader to safeguard the company from legal and reputational risks by ensuring genuine products are not diverted into illicit channels, protecting brands against counterfeiting, supporting the market against lost revenue from illicit trade, and positioning the company as a credible partner for law enforcement and government authorities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement and execute ITP strategies aligned with local and regional objectives to combat illicit trade, focusing on defending business and product integrity.
  • Manage investigations and enforcement projects, gather intelligence on illicit activities, and build evidence for enforcement and policy engagement.
  • Design and execute investigation and enforcement strategies in compliance with standards.
  • Coordinate activities across ITP centers of expertise, including forensics, supply chain integrity, and policy crafting, ensuring effective response and support to management and departments.
  • Engage with law enforcement, NGOs, and IGOs to build public-private partnerships, conduct capability building, and support law enforcement efforts.
  • Promote regulatory frameworks to enhance enforcement and deterrence, supporting broader external affairs objectives.
The Person:
  • Strong background in brand protection, investigations, or law enforcement.
  • Deep understanding of illegal trade and financial crimes; experience with law enforcement engagement is critical.
  • Knowledge of pharmaceuticals, tobacco, and nicotine industry operations is preferred.
  • Ability to develop and execute anti-illicit trade programs involving risk assessment and intelligence gathering.
  • Excellent stakeholder relationship management skills.
  • Effective communication skills for engaging diverse audiences, including senior management and external entities.
  • Strong project management skills for handling sensitive investigations.
  • High ethical standards and integrity.
  • Fluent in English and local languages.
