Job summary

A global humanitarian organization is seeking a Head of Humanitarian Influencing to oversee their influencing approach across the UK. You will lead strategy development, manage stakeholder risks, and represent the organization in various forums. Candidates should have extensive experience in humanitarian policy and a proven track record in influencing. About the role

Key responsibilities

• Responsible for OGB’s influencing approach to Humanitarian Influencing across the UK.
• Develop campaign and influencing strategy and manage stakeholder and political risk.
• Lead cross‑functional teams and drive change within a large, globally networked confederation.
• Represent Oxfam externally in policy, influencing, lobbying and media work.

What we are looking for

• Experience managing performance of others and helping people to develop, grow and achieve their potential.
• Extensive knowledge of international humanitarian policy and practice issues and donor priorities.
• Proven track record of leading successful influencing work including generating original ideas and innovative approaches.
• Experience managing team budgets.
• Experience mobilising internal stakeholders around a vision for a major area of work.
• Experience using research data and learnings for programme and policy development.
• Capacity to make complex information accessible to non‑technical audiences.
• Sound judgement in complex situations.
