Job description

Interim Head of HR - REMOTE
20-24 hours per week, 6 months
£260-£350 per day PAYE
The hours can be spread over 3, 4, or 5 days

HR Recruit are currently seeking an experienced Head of HR for a not for profit organisation whilst they seek to recruit a permanent person. Although the organisation has a base in London, this is a totally remote role. The role is inside IR35. The role will report into the Managing Director, Global Operations and will also work closely with our CEO, Director of Operations and wider senior leadership team as required. The Operations team include an Admin Officer who supports with some aspects of the recruitment and onboarding activity.

Role Responsibilities

  • Ensure ongoing legal compliance with all required employment and workforce laws.
  • Manage the relationship with the international employer of record and all day-to-dayinteractions.
  • Oversee payroll, managing the relationship with the payroll provider and ensuring anychanges are communicated in a timely manner.
  • Manage any employee relations casework, as required.
  • Recruitment and onboarding of staff as required (we do not anticipate this to be a largenumber of roles, as we are finalising a recruitment round currently).

Person Specification

  • Significant prior experience in a generalist HR management or Head
  • of HR role, with considerable autonomy
  • Experience in managing recruitment and selection processes
  • Experience of partnering with managers to solve complex HR challenges
  • Chartered Member CIPD (or equivalent professional experience).
  • Sound understanding of UK employment law and HR issues impacting smaller and remote organisations.
  • Strong organisational skills - capable of handling multiple projects / tasks and ability to meet deadlines, logically tackle problems and set priorities.
  • Customer focus – strong interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, resilient to change and comfortable working in a fast-pacedenvironment.
  • Positive, can-do attitude with a focus on developing ideas and solutions as part of a team.
