The Honourable Society of the Middle Templehas an exciting opportunity for a Head of HR to join their dedicated team.

Location: London, EC4Y 9BT
Salary: £65,000 per annum

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent

Hours: 37.5 hrs pw (Monday - Friday, 9 - 5.30)

Head of HR - The Role:

In this full-time role (37.5 hours per week), you will serve as Head of HR for an organisation comprising approximately 100 staff members across a range of functions. Supported by an HR Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the existing HR function, while developing and implementing effective strategies that align with the Inn's objectives. You will ensure that HR operations are legally compliant, quality-driven, efficient, and provide proactive support to the Inn's management,

Head of HR - Key Responsibilities:

- Lead HR services for all staff members, ensuring that all functions have the staff resources they need, and that the Inn is legally compliant in terms of employment law

- Develop and implement a coherent human resources strategy and detailed supporting work plans for agreement by the Under Treasurer

- Advise managers on the best processes to attract, select and recruit staff, ensuring that these processes are as cost-effective as possible

- Promote good employee relations

- Compile and implement an annual training plan for employees at all levels of the Inn

- Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives within the organisation

Head of HR - You:

- Educated to degree level or equivalent

- CIPD level 5 (preferably level 7)

- Experience of a similar working environment &/or understanding of the workings of the Middle Temple or other not-for-profit organisation

- IT literate with experience of using databases, Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) and other computerised systems

- Excellent communications and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively (verbally and in writing) at all levels
