HR CAREERS & NATIONWIDE RECRUITMENT SERVICE is seeking a Head of People for a part-time, 28-hour per week role in Birmingham with hybrid working. The role offers strategic leadership and a strong work-life balance, reporting to senior leadership while shaping the organisation's people agenda.
The successful candidate will lead HR strategy, employee relations, and change programmes, with responsibilities spanning payroll, recruitment, and workforce planning.
The 28 hours can be worked across 3, 4 or 5 days, including condensed hours, depending on what works best for the successful candidate and the needs of the organisation.

As Head of People, you will:
Develop and implement the organisation's People and HR Strategy
Provide expert HR guidance to senior managers and leadership teams
Lead on employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, absence, capability and performance processes
Support organisational development, restructuring and change programmes
Oversee workforce planning, succession planning and recruitment activities
Manage payroll and pension administration processes
Develop reward, recognition and employee wellbeing initiatives
Monitor HR metrics and workforce data to support informed business decisions
Drive employee engagement, inclusion and organisational culture initiatives
Ensure compliance with UK employment legislation and HR best practice
