The Role

We are looking for an experienced Interim Head of Housing Design and Delivery to lead and manage a team within a Capital Programme Service. This senior role involves overseeing the delivery of housing programmes, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet high-quality standards. You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, manage risk, and ensure the delivery of housing projects aligns with our clients strategic priorities, including sustainability and carbon reduction goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the delivery of housing capital projects from inception to completion.
  • Develop and manage a fully costed 30-year housing investment plan.
  • Oversee asset management strategies and stock condition reviews.
  • Ensure best practices in design and construction, meeting all legal and quality standards.
  • Work closely with internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders to drive performance improvements.
  • Report progress to senior management and ensure projects meet social value and sustainability targets.
