Job summary

Active Care Group is seeking a Head Housekeeper for our Brain Injury Rehabilitation and Neurological Care Centre in Kent. You will lead the onsite housekeeping team, ensuring a high standard of cleanliness across the private hospital environment.

The role requires strong attention to detail, initiative, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. You will contribute to quality initiatives and collaborate with clinical and leadership teams to support excellent patient care.

Responsibilities

• Lead the housekeeping team onsite to maintain a high standard of cleanliness in a 5 private hospital environment.

• Support senior clinical and business leadership to develop your career within Active Care Group.

Job description

• Adopt a professional approach to patient / resident care at all times.
• Be required to develop and maintain good working relationships with colleagues, visitors, carers, members of the multi-disciplinary care team and senior professional and managerial staff.
• Conform at all times to the Policies and Procedures of the Company, with particular regard to confidentiality, financial and administrative responsibilities and prevention of healthcare associated infection (HCAI); this includes a requirement for rigorous and consistent compliance with policies for hand hygiene, use of personal protective equipment and safe disposals of sharps (where deemed relevant to the role).
• Leading the housekeeping team onsite and creating a 5 private hospital environment.
• Maintain and support all quality initiatives and objectives introduced into the organisation.
• To be familiar and comply with the service Business Continuity Plan in case of an emergency.
• Take personal responsibility for ensuring that The Active Group resources are used efficiently and with minimum wastage.

Set within the 12 acre grounds of a manor house, we specialise in intensive rehabilitation for people in the early stages of recovery from a brain injury right through to residential care.
