Location: Derby Start Date: January 2025 Contract Type: Full-time About the Role A fantastic Independent School in Derby is seeking a dedicated Head of History to lead their progressive and vibrant department.
This is an exciting opportunity to inspire and shape the minds of the next generation within a supportive and academically driven environment.
Key Responsibilities Teach History across Key Stage 3 and GCSE, with the potential for A-Level instruction (preferred but not essential).
Effectively lead the History Faculty, making sure that schools’ policies are being enforced and that curriculum being taught by department are up to standard.
Deliver innovative and engaging lessons that foster a passion for History.
Integrate modern technologies to enhance classroom learning experiences.
Prepare students for academic success, encouraging critical thinking and independent learning.
Participate actively in the broader life of the school.
