At Co-op Academy Swinton, we are seeking a dynamic Head of History to guide curriculum development, foster collaboration, and elevate student outcomes. As part of Co-op Academies Trust, you will have the opportunity to innovate, inspire, and raise achievement levels across the school within a supportive leadership team.
We are looking for an enthusiastic History Teacher who can craft narratives that captivate students and spark their imagination. Our goal is to ensure that all students reach their full potential, regardless of background, through an ambitious, supportive, and nurturing learning environment. We value high achievement, positive behavior, and a rewards-based approach over sanctions. Our experienced pastoral team works closely with staff to support students throughout their secondary education, and we expect our teachers to embody our vision, values, and professional standards.
Our academy caters to pupils aged 11-16. Located within easy reach of all areas of the North West, with Swinton train station less than five minutes away, we pride ourselves on a caring culture and positive relationships among staff and students. This was recognized in our recent Ofsted inspection (June 2024), where we received a 'Good' rating in all areas.
