Are you a senior Health & Safety leader ready to take on one of the most high-profile and complex infrastructure projects in Europe?
Do you want to play a strategic role in shaping health and safety standards across the UK's largest new nuclear construction programme, while leading a highly skilled HSE function?
This is a rare opportunity to join the Hinkley Point C (HPC) project - a nationally significant development central to the UK's Net Zero ambitions. As Head of Health & Safety, you'll act as the principal H&S authority for the client organisation, driving performance and compliance across all phases of the programme: design, construction, and commissioning.
In this key leadership position, you will be accountable for ensuring compliance with the Health and Safety at Work Act, CDM Regulations, and the Nuclear Site Licence, both internally and across a vast and complex supply chain. You will work at the forefront of stakeholder engagement with regulators, government bodies, senior EDF leadership, and trade unions, representing the organisation's vision for a world-class safety culture.
The ideal candidate will be NEBOSH Diploma qualified (or equivalent), with extensive experience leading health and safety strategy at a senior level on major projects in construction, infrastructure or energy. A strong understanding of UK HSE law, CDM, and experience managing diverse stakeholder groups is essential.
This is an outstanding opportunity for a safety executive who thrives in complex environments and wants to make a lasting legacy impact on the future of nuclear development in the UK.
