A higher education institution in Manchester is seeking a proactive Head of Health & Safety to lead its health and safety initiatives. You will ensure compliance with regulations and foster a positive safety culture across the organization. This post leads on the University’s commitment to a forward thinking and positive health and safety culture throughout all areas and works closely, where appropriate with colleagues in Human Resources and the Occupational Health Service. The post holder will strive to deliver a strategic, high quality and proactive service and a customer-focused approach to service delivery.
The postholder will ensure that the University complies with its statutory obligations and best practice in relation to health and safety. The postholder will develop, implement, monitor and review the University’s Health and Safety Policies and management systems designed to provide effective and efficient controls and progressive improvements
