Job description

Head of HSQE
Salary: £65,000 + £5,000 car allowance
Location: Hybrid (with travel to Ipswich and Nottingham)

We are seeking a dynamic Head of HSQE with a strong Health & Safety background and experience in the Facilities Management industry. Reporting to the Associate Director, you'll lead the operational strategy for HSQE across the group, ensuring full compliance with ISO standards, H&S legislation, and environmental regulations.

This role offers the chance to own and drive the development of HSQE services, delivering innovation, governance, and assurance across the organisation. You will work closely with senior leaders, provide expert advice, and lead a high-performing team to meet strategic and operational objectives.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and innovating the Group's H&S management systems and audit programmes

  • Driving compliance and governance initiatives across all business areas

  • Managing H&S KPIs and ensuring staff compliance training

  • Promoting a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement

What we're looking for:

  • 5+ years at senior level (Director equivalent) in a large, fast-paced organisation

  • NEBOSH Diploma (essential), CMIOSH, RICS, or project management (desirable)

  • Strong knowledge of ISO standards and audit processes

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
