Job Description
- Develop and implement the strategic framework for Safety, Health, and Environmental management.
- Provide expert technical advice and ensure legal compliance, supporting senior leadership in SHE matters.
- Lead SHE committees and actively promote a proactive, safety-first culture throughout the organisation.
- Collaborate with external stakeholders and internal departments to align on SHE priorities.
- Conduct audits in high-risk areas and spearhead initiatives for continuous improvement.
- Oversee SHE training programs, manage incident investigations, and ensure timely implementation of corrective actions.
- Support the safe integration of new machinery and capital projects, ensuring full compliance with health and safety regulations.
The Successful Applicant
- NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) and IEMA Associate Certificate.
- Chartered Member of IOSH (CMIOSH) status preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in Safety, Health & Environmental roles, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
- In-depth knowledge of ISO 14001 standards and UK environmental legislation.
- Strong communication skills with proven ability to influence, negotiate, and lead effectively.
- Proficient in data analysis, project management, and professional report writing.
