WORKING PATTERN: Hybrid, 40% (or two days) in our London Office

About this opportunity

We have an opportunity for a senior policy professional to join our Group Corporate Affairs team in London.

Our team shapes and coordinates our regulatory policy strategy and advocacy, working with colleagues across the group to provide constructive and timely input to the government and regulators. We’re looking for an enthusiastic, expert, and collaborative leader to join our team.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Providing regulatory policy leadership across Lloyds Banking Group on your portfolio, offering advice and analysis for the UK’s largest retail and commercial bank’s executive team. The focus will be on the consumer agenda, with opportunities to input into other regulatory topics.
  • Acting as a partner and convener for senior leaders and key areas of the group to proactively define evidence-based policy priorities, craft persuasive messages, and deliver them.
  • Distilling complex regulatory policies into clear communications, policy positions, and external regulatory input, while monitoring regulatory developments and trends.
  • Developing external relationships to maintain an effective dialogue and information flow.
  • Fostering an agile team of motivated professionals capable of working collaboratively in a fast-paced environment across various issues.

What you’ll need

  • Experience in a communications role within financial services, investment banking, or pensions organizations.
  • Experience leading a team of qualified communications professionals within a Group Corporate Affairs function at the executive level.
  • Keen awareness of regulatory and economic trends, with a track record of generating policy solutions and maintaining relevant external networks.
  • Technical regulatory experience and understanding of the financial services regulatory landscape.
  • Outstanding stakeholder management skills and experience delivering effective advocacy programs.
