Head of Group Financial Planning & Analysis

Looking for a high-impact leadership role in financial planning and analysis? This is an exciting opportunity to shape business performance and influence key strategic decisions at a senior level.

As Head of Group FP&A, you'll ensure timely, accurate, and actionable financial insights for the leadership team, guiding decision-making and enhancing business performance. Leading the Group’s financial planning, reporting, and forecasting processes, you’ll work closely with teams across the organisation to drive improvements and ensure alignment with company strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and execution of the Group’s 3-year Corporate Plan and quarterly forecasts, providing robust financial analysis and strategic insights.
  • Deliver clear and impactful management commentary for senior stakeholders, identifying financial risks and opportunities to support informed decision-making.
  • Enhance best practices in budgeting, reporting, and analysis, working with Group Finance to improve systems and processes.
  • Prepare business cases, evaluate investment proposals, and contribute to acquisition and disposal strategies.
  • Support the integration of new businesses into the Group, ensuring smooth financial transitions.
  • Lead and develop a team of Finance Business Partners, fostering strong collaboration and financial expertise across the Group.
  • Provide financial support and challenge to the Executive and Head Office leadership teams, driving accountability and control over spending.
  • Partner with auditors and professional advisors on financial reporting and compliance matters.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to influence strategic decision-making.
  • Excellent communication skills—able to transform complex data into clear, actionable insights.
  • Expertise in financial modelling, forecasting, and quantitative analysis.
  • A solid understanding of IFRS and technical accounting principles.
  • A confident leader, capable of mentoring teams and fostering collaboration across functions.
  • Experience working at a senior level in business planning, finance partnering, and performance reporting.
  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with at least 5 years of post-qualified experience.

About My Client:

A respected leader in the transport sector, my client is dedicated to delivering reliable and efficient services while driving financial excellence across the organisation. With a focus on strategic growth and continuous improvement, they value collaboration, innovation, and high-quality financial planning to support their business ambitions.

This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact and shape the financial future of a dynamic organisation. If you’re ready to step into a role where insight drives performance, we’d love to hear from you!
