Job summary

Join the University of Salford as Grounds & Landscape Manager, responsible for strategic and operational management of the University’s grounds, landscapes, sports facilities and public realm. You will lead a team and plan year-round maintenance to create high-quality external spaces for students, staff and visitors.

You will manage budgets, procurement, contractors and safety, while driving biodiversity and environmental performance across Peel Park and MediaCity campuses.

Qualifications

• Experience in grounds maintenance, horticulture or landscape management in large and/or multi-site environments.
• Strong leadership and team development track record.
• Experience with budgets, procurement, contracts and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Grounds & Landscape team including Team Leader and six Landscapers.
• Plan and oversee year-round grounds maintenance, horticultural and landscaping programmes.
• Drive landscape enhancement, biodiversity, green infrastructure and sustainability initiatives.
