Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience in financial services, with a strong track record in fund administration, asset servicing, or Big 4 advisory.
  • Deep technical and commercial understanding of fund structures, operating models, and servicing models across hedge funds, private equity, and real assets.
  • Proven success in winning complex, high-value mandates through structured solution development.
  • Strong leadership skills, ideally with experience in building or transforming commercial or client solution functions.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the gravitas to engage senior stakeholders both internally and externally.
  • A strategic thinker with a commercial mindset and strong execution capabilities.
  • Comfortable navigating large, matrixed environments and working across time zones and cultures.
  • Willingness to travel internationally as needed.

Role Overview

This is a newly redesigned, high-impact commercial leadership role, positioned at the very heart of Citco’s growth and client acquisition strategy. Reporting directly to Niall Fagan, Global Head of Sales, the Head of Global Sales Engineering will lead the design, development, and delivery of strategic solutions for Citco’s most complex and high-value mandates.

Working closely with Sales, Product, and Transformation leaders, this individual will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing Citco’s global deal strategy — particularly across transformational ‘mega deals’ with institutional clients and leading asset managers. The role combines deep commercial acumen, cross-functional leadership, and front-line solutioning expertise in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Deal Leadership

  • Design and deliver winning solutions for Citco’s largest and most competitive global mandates.
  • Partner with Sales and Product teams to develop tailored, scalable, and commercially viable proposals.
  • Lead the solutioning workstream throughout the bid lifecycle — from RFP through to onboarding and go-live.

Commercial Strategy & Execution

  • Build and execute the global strategy for all mega deals, bringing a unified and structured approach to complex multi-product opportunities.
  • Engage directly with client stakeholders and influence C-level decision-making on operating models, technology strategy, and service delivery.

Strategy & Development

  • Strengthen and optimise the Sales Engineering function to enhance how Citco communicates its value proposition on large-scale global opportunities.
  • Create a blueprint and toolkit for how Citco engages in, prepares for, and wins strategic opportunities globally.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Product, Operations, Technology, and Legal to ensure proposed solutions are deliverable, cost-effective, and aligned with client objectives.
  • Work closely with Citco’s Transformation team to ensure solution proposals are aligned with enterprise architecture and delivery capabilities.
  • Bring together insights from across the organisation to construct forward-looking client-centric service models.
  • Act as the bridge between commercial ambitions and operational realities, ensuring client commitments are underpinned by executable strategies.

Leadership & Influence

  • Represent Citco in external pitches, due diligence meetings, and executive briefings.
  • Be a visible thought leader and strategic advisor across the global sales function.
  • Act as a trusted partner to senior internal stakeholders, bringing market insight and deal expertise into Citco’s broader growth strategy.
