Overall Purpose

This role involves the day-to-day management of the Global Markets Operations in the UK with EMEA oversight. As head of GMO UK, you will manage and control the processing of all London Global Markets originated transactions. You will deliver operational efficiency and ensure appropriate controls for all transactions booked and processed in London, including those booked in London but processed in Paris Global Markets Operations.

You will supervise the processing of Global Markets transactions, monitor process performance according to global standards, and own the booking processes, continuously seeking improvements, streamlining, and operational safety across functional silos, geographies, and business units in Global Markets.

You will contribute to strategic initiatives for the CIB and COO, including input on projects like Front to Ops, and manage regulatory transactions reporting.

Management of Global Market Operations (GMO) UK circa 70%

• Organize and animate the UK team and coordinate with the EMEA GMO team on projects and staffing.
• Supervise transaction processing and monitor process performance.
• Act as escalation point for GMO related matters.
• Ensure global consistency by implementing best practices and processing guidelines.
• Coordinate projects between Head Office and local sites.
• Monitor controls regionally, aiming to reduce operational risks.
• Contribute to financial monitoring of GMO, including costs, headcounts, and budgets.
• Drive objectives setting and performance evaluations for GMO teams, collaborating with country COOs.
• Lead restructuring efforts and daily management, promoting operational excellence.
• Implement good management practices and foster a performance-driven culture.
• Build strong relationships with London and Head-Office operations to align objectives.
• Ensure high-quality service delivery to internal and external clients.
• Support new business initiatives and develop innovative solutions.
• Maintain internal controls and reconciliations to mitigate operational risks.
• Ensure comprehensive knowledge of trade lifecycle and effective communication with Paris and other control functions.
• Analyze, report, and resolve issues proactively.
• Develop management reports and dashboards aligned with operational and financial oversight.
