Job description

An ambitious and experienced Head of Geography is required to lead a thriving department in an Outstanding school in Enfield for a full-time, permanent position commencing in September or earlier if possible. You will be responsible for the strategic direction, development, and performance of the Geography department across all Key Stages.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strong leadership and management for the Geography department.
  • Develop and implement an engaging and challenging Geography curriculum across all Key Stages.
  • Monitor and evaluate the quality of teaching and learning within the department.
  • Support and line manage Geography teachers, fostering their professional development.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in Geography.
  • Significant experience teaching Geography across Key Stages 3 to 5.
  • Proven leadership and management skills within a Geography department.
