Job summary

Think FE Ltd in London is seeking a Games Design Curriculum Manager for a further education college in Walthamstow, East London. You will lead the Games Design curriculum, ensuring high standards of teaching, learning and assessment.

You will guide a team of lecturers, oversee curriculum planning, use performance data to drive improvements and contribute to Ofsted preparations. This permanent, full-time role offers a £45,000 salary and 36 days of annual leave.

Qualifications

• Degree in Games Design or related subject at degree level.
• PGCE or Level 5 teaching qualification or equivalent.
• Experience teaching Games Design in further education or similar setting.
• Proven track record leading curriculum programmes and managing teaching teams.
• Strong knowledge of curriculum planning, assessment and quality improvement.
• Excellent communication, organisation and leadership skills.
• Ability to engage, support and challenge staff and students to achieve their best.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Games Design curriculum, ensuring high standards of teaching, learning and assessment.
• Support, motivate and develop a team of lecturers, promoting a positive and collaborative working environment.
• Oversee curriculum planning, development and delivery to ensure programmes remain relevant to industry expectations.
• Use student performance data, course reviews and quality improvement information to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Maintain high standards of student achievement, attendance, retention and progression.
• Support the delivery of digital and software development programmes, including relevant T Level provision.
• Contribute to quality assurance, internal verification and preparations for Ofsted inspections.
• Work closely with senior leadership to achieve departmental and college objectives.
• Continue to contribute to teaching and learning, sharing your expertise in Games Design.
