We are currently seeking a professional individual to join this team in the role of: Head of FX and Global Money

This role is a unique and exciting opportunity to lead the FX and Global Money product suite for the Channel Islands & Isle of Man (CIIOM). The role reports directly into the Head of Retail Products and will lead a team of product managers who are responsible for the end-to-end product management.

Made up of 2 brands servicing international expatriate clients (HSBC Expat) and local domestic customers across the islands, the CIIOM business is today responsible for over 200k customers. As a strategic provider of liquidity for the non-ring fenced bank, as well as being recognised as a priority international market within the global IWPB strategy, the CIIOM business is at a critical point in its growth story.

In this role, you will:

  • Oversee CIIOM's FX, Payments and Global Money products and propositions (both new and legacy) to ensure they meet the unique needs of both Expat and Domestic customers as well as delivering an outstanding customer experience.
  • Support the strategic vision, delivery and ongoing commercialisation of new propositions such as GMR+
  • Drive product and proposition development, pricing, retention, service, communication and product management across both Expat and Domestic brands
  • Lead and coaching a team of high performing product managers, knowing how attract, develop and motivate
  • Ensure that products and services are designed and implemented in line with the letter and spirit of regulation to ensure world class management of Conduct Risk

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

  • Proven leadership skills, exposure to leading people with knowledge of FX and/or transactional banking products and propositions is ideal
  • Demonstrable background in product management / new product development with experience in the end-to-end product lifecycle is paramount
  • Possesses a growth mentality, is numbers orientated, good with Excel and has had some exposure to managing P&L
  • Excellent communications skills twinned with ability to influence peers and senior stakeholders
  • Strong analytical, planning, organisational and time management skills
