Job Description:

Our client is a rapidly evolving, British, PE-backed Engineering and Technology / SaaS business expanding internationally. The owners have appointed a visionary CFO who is now evaluating his future finance organization to support this growth. The CFO seeks an FP&A Manager for a 6-month contract to support this transformation.

You will lead the annual strategic financial planning, develop partnerships with the Exec Co, improve cash flow forecasting, and build a commercial finance partnering capability for contract evaluation and new business tenders. The role also involves developing a company-wide FP&A process and supporting potential M&A activities.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Building and developing strategic and financial planning processes with insightful analysis for the Group Board.
  • Establishing strong relationships across all business areas to understand commercial drivers and financial performance.
  • Leading operational projects such as route-to-market assessments, restructuring, marketing & pricing evaluations, acquisition assessments, operational efficiencies, and capital investment appraisals.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • At least 7 years of relevant experience, with 2-3 years in a mid-senior FP&A role.
  • Experience in developing company planning and analysis capabilities, preferably within a rapidly scaling Tech or Services business.

A proactive attitude and ability to work in environments where systems and MI are not yet optimal are essential.
