Job Title: Head of Foreign Exchange (FX) Operations

Location: London

Corporate Title: Director

As part of the Investment Bank (IB) Cross Product Ops (CPO) organisation, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the FX operations functions globally, reporting directly to the Co-Head of IB CPO. You will be the primary contact for business leads and collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure smooth and controlled business operations. You will work alongside the business to implement strategic improvements that facilitate revenue growth, control, and process enhancements. Additionally, you will represent Deutsche Bank at industry forums and partner with FX peers to promote systemic improvements at an industry level.

Your key responsibilities:

• Participate in industry groups like AFME to drive industry transformation, focusing on reducing settlement and payment processing risks through emerging technologies like PVP and Blockchain.
• Oversee the global middle office function with local accountability for UK staff.
• Partner with regional management to ensure consistent performance and controls across all Middle Office functions globally.
• Represent IB in FX council and industry bodies.
• Serve as the single point of contact for business support and strategy delivery.
• Monitor risk and metrics, acting as an escalation point for global Middle Office issues.

Your skills and experience:

• Extensive FX Middle Office or operational experience
• Experience in delivery of transformation initiatives
• Knowledge of AFME and Bank of England forums
• Experience with audit, risk, and regulatory compliance
• Experience working with global teams and in a matrix management environment
