A cutting-edge FinTech company in the City of London is seeking to hire a Head of Financial Technology on a permanent basis. The role involves leading the transformation of the finance technology landscape, focusing on modernisation, innovation, and operational excellence.

The ideal candidate will be a technologist with experience from a challenger bank or FinTech, and have a proven track record in delivering advanced finance systems. Knowledge of FinOps and Automation is also essential.

This position offers a base salary of £130,000 to £165,000 (flexible) plus a comprehensive benefits package. The role supports hybrid working arrangements.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement a strategic roadmap for finance systems, including ERP, payments, treasury, and reporting platforms.
2. Lead a major ERP implementation and overhaul of payments architecture, emphasizing mobile-first solutions.
3. Facilitate seamless integration between financial systems and data platforms to enable advanced analytics and AI-powered reporting.
4. Maintain data integrity, ensure regulatory compliance, and uphold governance standards.
5. Collaborate with Finance, IT, Data, and Operations teams to deliver impactful solutions and optimize vendor relationships.

What We’re Looking For:

1. Expertise in finance systems architecture, ERP delivery (experience with Workday is a plus), and payments transformation.
2. Strong understanding of core finance processes and cloud platforms.
3. Excellent project management and stakeholder engagement skills, with a history of building high-performing teams in financial services or FinTech.
