Hays Senior Finance are recruiting on behalf of their established & highly prestigious client based in St Andrews for a permanent Head of Financial Reporting to join their team. Salary is £58,000 - £65,000 depending on experience + 39 days annual leave, excellent employer pension contribution of over 14% & hybrid working.
Your new role
Reporting to the Deputy Director of Finance; you will provide leadership and guidance for all aspects of financial reporting and compliance across the organisation. This is a critical role responsible for the financial accounting section within a busy finance team, directly managing & developing 3 staff members. You will be responsible for all aspects of monthly and annual financial reporting, including the production of consolidated annual financial statements for the group. You will complete various monthly reports on business performance, along with any financial returns required. You will build strong relationships with internal & external stakeholders, including external auditors, ensuring accurate and timely information is provided. You will also lead process & system improvements, innovating to reduce reporting timelines and deliver efficiencies while maintaining data quality and control.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a qualified technical accountant with experience working within a large organization or group structure. Strong experience in financial accounting & reporting, including year-end accounting, is essential. You will have experience managing staff and possess excellent IT skills, especially dealing with large data sets. Experience with reporting efficiencies and process improvement is highly desirable.
