Overview
The Altro Group are looking for a Head of FP&A to join the Finance team. The Group FP&A team are financial business partners to the senior managers within the Altro Floors & Walls and Autoglym divisions and are responsible for preparing tailored financial reporting and analysis including monthly management accounts, analysis of business performance, annual budgets and 5-year plans. This role leads the FP&A team of 6 Management accountants. This is a full time (37.5 hours a week), permanent, hybrid role (minimum of 3 days a week in our Letchworth Garden City, Hertfordshire HQ).

Responsibilities
- Lead the FP&A team of 6 Management accountants, providing financial partnership to senior managers.
- Prepare tailored financial reporting and analysis, including monthly management accounts, performance analysis, annual budgets and 5-year plans.
- Drive financial planning and reporting improvements, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
- Analyze business performance across areas such as sales, margins, manufacturing, inventory and working capital.
- Lead system implementation and optimisation (experience with JDE or similar packages) to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Develop financial models, interpret data, and provide clear insights for decision-making.
- Manage and develop the FP&A team, maintain high attention to detail, and ensure deadlines are met with high-quality outputs.
Qualifications
- Professional accounting/finance qualification or MBA (CIMA, ACA, ACCA or MBA in Finance) or equivalent.
- Demonstrated FP&A experience within a complex, global commercial environment.
- Proven track record in managing and optimising financial planning and reporting systems, detailed management accounts, and performance analysis.
- Experience with financial systems implementation (e.g., JDE or similar) and complex group financial reporting.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate insights clearly to stakeholders.
