Job description

WHAT YOU WILL DO

The Finance Manager serves as a Commercial Finance business partner in the country's leadership team, with a direct reporting line to the Director Commercial Finance BU Europe. This role plays a key part in driving the financial performance of the country's commercial operations, providing financial insights and support to enhance decision-making across sales, marketing, and trade functions, as well as control over local overheads, and elements influencing cash generation: mainly demand forecast accuracy and timely collection of accounts receivables (actions on DSO).

The Finance Manager will lead a small team, while leveraging the support of the regional Shared Services Center (SSC) for transactional finance tasks. Additionally, the Finance Manager is responsible for the completeness and accuracy of the statutory books of the entity, in compliance with Group standards and local requirements.

OUR PERFECT CANDIDATE

Experience of:

  • Finance in a commercial finance environment and ideally within a multinational FMCG or consumer goods environment
  • Financial planning and analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting
  • Business Partnering, with a focus on driving financial performance and strategic decision-making
  • Managing financial responsibilities in the UK, with knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements
  • Working effectively in a matrix structure, collaborating with Shared Services / Centre of Excellence, Regional and Global teams
  • Financial software and ERP systems (SAP / SAP S4), with strong database / Excel skills for financial modelling and analysis, for example Power BI
Qualifications required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
  • An advanced degree (MBA, MSc) is welcomed
  • A professional financial qualification is expected e.g. ACCA, CIMA, CPA
