We are currently working with a large utilities business looking for a Head of Finance Transformation, to join on a permanent basis, to shape and deliver the long-term vision, strategy and roadmap for the finance function.

Role: Head of Finance Transformation

Salary: £100,000 - £125,000 (DOE) + Bonus & Benefits

Hybrid working: 2-3 days a week in West London

Join their dynamic team as the Head of Finance Transformation, working closely with the Group FD and CFO, and play a pivotal role in driving growth, innovation, and success across the business. As a key member of their Finance & Commercial leadership team, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and delivering a comprehensive finance roadmap that aligns with the business objectives and priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define, coordinate, and deliver a finance roadmap that drives strategic growth and improvement
  • Take ownership and create the overall transformation roadmap and plan, as well as lead a range of people, process and technology change projects for F&C and the wider business where required
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align and deliver the finance strategic plan and budget
  • Lead the review and design of new WOW and processes across the teams to drive best practice.
  • Continuously assess, monitor, and enhance the performance of the finance department and the business as a whole
  • Develop and implement change management strategies to drive positive change and improvement
  • Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to senior leaders
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proven experience owning, shaping and driving finance transformation across large, complex organisations end-to-end
  • Broad experience driving finance projects across people, process and technology (such as TOM design, organisational design, process optimisation and system upgrades/implementations)
  • Strong communication skills and emotional intelligence required with demonstratable experience brining the business along for the journey and engaging stakeholders at all levels including c-suite
  • Demonstrable experience in improving areas such as governance, assurance, and reporting
  • Proven change management skills, with the ability to define and deliver a change journey
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights
Nice to Have Skills:
  • Previous experience within utilities or regulated industries helpful
  • Experience with large ERP systems a bonus (SAP S4 Hana even better)
