Reports to: Finance Director, tombola
Location: Dublin, Sunderland, Leeds, Gibraltar, or London
Role Purpose:
The Head of Finance is a key member of tombola’s finance leadership team. This role involves partnering with the tombola Online Leadership team to maximise profitability through revenue analysis and identifying opportunities to enhance revenue and returns.
Accountabilities:
Serve as a key business partner to the tombola leadership team, including Directors of Tech, Product, Strategic Ops, and Marketing.
Lead the preparation of budgets and forecasts for tombola.
Lead the quarterly budget and forecasting cycle, ensuring stakeholders are engaged in P&L impact assessments and that targets are both ambitious and achievable.
Support the Finance Director and CFO in driving the tombola and UK&I division toward revenue and EBITDA targets.
Lead finance support for key commercial negotiations with significant third-party suppliers.
Collaborate with the UKI FP&A team to ensure accurate UKI/external reporting of tombola’s performance.
Act as the finance subject matter expert on safer gambling strategy, coordinating financial impact analysis and advising on strategic decisions.
Deliver monthly performance reviews across all areas of responsibility.
Build strong relationships across the wider finance function.
Stay informed on regulatory changes and industry developments.
Lead, manage, and develop the commercial finance team while providing financial leadership across the division.
Key Skills and Experience:
Strong financial and analytical skills with a high level of numeracy.
Experience in business partnering and commercial acumen, with the ability to communicate financial performance to senior stakeholders and simplify complex information.
Excellent communication, influencing, collaboration, and relationship-building skills across matrix environments.
Results-oriented approach, with the ability to make quick decisions when necessary and the resilience to challenge assumptions.
