Steel City Schools Partnership invites a Senior Management Accountant/Head of Finance to lead and develop the finance function for the Trust. You will work with the CEO and COO to drive financial strategy and provide robust financial information to support school improvement.

The role requires strong leadership, partnership working with schools and external stakeholders, and a focus on accurate reporting and financial control across the Trust.

Qualifications

• Experience leading financial arrangements for a trust or multi-school set up.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Commitment to partnership working across schools and external stakeholders.
• Enthusiastic, positive and motivated with personal drive.
• Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to build strong working relationships with teaching, leadership and support staff.

Responsabilités

• Provide direction and oversight of the Trust's budget and financial performance to key stakeholders.
• Understand financial drivers in the education sector and their impact on the Trust finances.
• Ensure schools are informed of financial performance through monthly management accounts reporting.
• Manage the budget monitoring framework, ensuring financial compliance and assurance.
• Lead budget and forecasting with the COO to support school plans and financial records.
• Manage the central finance team and support staff across Trust schools.
