Head of Finance (Part-Time) - St. Austell - Circa £65k FTE

Trial Balance Consulting are once again delighted to assist a long-established and highly respected Cornish business in their search for a part-time Head of Finance. This is a part-time role offering approximately 24 hours per week, with flexible hybrid working across Monday to Friday during standard business hours.

This is a rare opportunity to take on a pivotal leadership role with long-term potential. Reporting at senior management level and overseeing a capable finance team, the Head of Finance will be central to the strategic and day-to-day financial operations of the business.

We're looking for a technically astute, commercially aware finance leader. The successful candidate will ensure robust financial controls across multiple entities and income streams, and will be confident across all key disciplines - management reporting, statutory accounting, budgeting, forecasting, audit, and benchmarking.

You’ll be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA), currently operating at Head of Finance or senior Financial Controller level. You bring broad experience from a medium to large organisation (commercial or not-for-profit), and you’re confident engaging at board level. A natural leader, you’ve successfully managed and developed finance teams, delivered process improvements, and led finance projects. You're tech-savvy, commercially sharp, and ready to make an immediate impact within a values-driven, collaborative culture.
