About the Role

Working closely with the Managing Director and wider leadership team, you'll be responsible for providing both strategic oversight and hands-on financial management to help support the company's growth ambitions.

This role has been created to bring clarity, rigour, and leadership to the finance function, which supports both operational finance and client account activity.
Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the long-term financial strategy and align it with business goals
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling
• Deliver monthly/quarterly management accounts and shareholder reports
• Monitor cashflow across both operational and client accounts
• Provide performance analysis and commercial insight to support business decisions
• Help shape the structure of the finance team - ensuring clear responsibilities, productivity, and resourcing for future growth
• Lead on automation and tech-enabled improvements, including exploring the use of AI
• Identify and implement cost-saving and efficiency measures
• Utilise data to monitor output, analyse workloads and improve overall team effectiveness

What We're Looking For

• A qualified accountant or senior finance professional with a track record in strategic and operational finance
• Commercial mindset with a passion for improving systems, processes, and performance
• Experience working in an SME or owner-led environment, ideally in a role with both oversight and hands-on elements
• Comfortable in a flexible, part-time leadership role where you'll be the go-to finance expert
• Confident communicator, with the ability to influence and advise at leadership level

The Details

• Part-time: ideally 2 days per week, but open to discussion
• Flexible/hybrid: central office base with a balance of remote and on-site working
• Salary: competitive and proportionate to experience/commitment
