Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for operational excellence in education? Join a thriving community-based comprehensive school in Tamworth – part of a forward-thinking Trust across Warwickshire, Staffordshire and Telford.

We are seeking a Head of Finance & Operations to lead the strategic and day-to-day management of the school’s financial and operational functions.

As a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, the Head of Finance & Operations will work closely with the Headteacher and CFO to shape the school’s future, overseeing finance, HR, IT, estates, administration, and compliance.

This is a high-impact leadership role ideal for a qualified accountant or experienced school business professional who thrives on challenge, collaboration, and making a real difference in the lives of young people.

The Head of Finance & Operations will be responsible for leading budget planning and resource allocation, managing large-scale facilities projects, ensuring operational compliance, and developing a high-performing team. Your strategic insight and strong financial acumen will drive efficiency and innovation across the school.

The emphasis is on financial management, with solid experience of managing budgets in excess of £5M being key.

We’re seeking a resilient, confident leader with integrity and a passion for education, with a qualification in CIMA/ACCA or ACA or a Diploma in School Business Management.
