Key Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, offering financial insights to influence strategic decisions
- Collaborate cross-functionally on long-term planning, business strategies, and investment decisions
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and month-end processes for logistics and group operations
- Develop robust KPIs and financial models to support operational and strategic decisions
- Deliver insightful variance analysis and performance commentary, highlighting risks and opportunities
- Manage and develop a high-performing team of Finance Business Partners and Analysts
- Set clear objectives, provide coaching, and support career development
- Ensure consistent delivery of value-adding financial insight across the organisation
- Drive inventory accuracy, optimisation, and working capital efficiency
- Support business case development and ROI analysis for key investments
- Champion best practices in stock management and demand planning
- Lead cost-to-serve analysis and financial modelling to support logistics and automation investments
- Monitor efficiency and productivity KPIs, ensuring cost control and financial accountability
- Maintain strong internal controls, ensure compliance, and support audit processes
- Drive continuous improvement in finance processes, reporting, and tools
Skills and Experience
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Strong experience in finance business partnering, preferably in logistics or supply chain.
- Demonstrated commercial acumen and experience influencing senior stakeholders.
- Advanced financial modelling and analytical capabilities.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong knowledge of inventory and working capital optimisation.
- Experience working in a complex, matrixed, and fast-paced business environment.
