Job summary

Barts Charity is recruiting a Head of Finance to lead financial control, planning and business partnering. Reporting to the CFO, you will shape the charity's data, digital and AI capabilities while developing a high-performing finance team.

You will oversee governance, audit, tax and regulatory reporting, drive budgeting and forecasting, and partner with senior stakeholders to unlock insight and value across East London’s healthcare portfolio.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA or equivalent).
• Significant post-qualification experience in a senior finance role.
• Strong financial control and audit experience.
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, management reporting and financial planning.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a robust financial control environment and ensure high-quality financial reporting.
• Oversee governance, audit, tax, regulatory and charity reporting requirements.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and longer-term financial planning.
• Provide meaningful financial analysis to support decision-making.
• Develop relationships with senior stakeholders across the Charity.
• Lead the continued development of finance systems, processes, reporting and analytics.
• Identify opportunities to use automation and AI to improve processes and controls.
• Build finance team capability in data and digital tools.
