Job Description

VANRATH is delighted to be working with a well-known NICS ALB in their recruitment for a Head of Finance & Corporate Services. This role is ideal for a Qualified Accountant with public sector experience to lead a finance team within the Civil Service. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-level financial management, ensuring robust financial controls, and supporting strategic financial planning and decision-making. Key responsibilities include:

  • Financial Reporting and Corporate Services within ALB
  • Developing and monitoring revenue and capital expenditure budgets
  • Reporting to the Executive and Senior Management Teams
  • Reviewing and approving Capital Projects & Business Cases
  • Managing Corporate Governance, Risk, HR, IT, & Procurement
  • Leading a multidisciplinary team

  • Qualified accountant with a recognized professional body (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW, CIPFA)
