Job summary

Page Executive in Zürich is seeking a Head Finance / CFO to build the finance function from the ground up in a fast-growing tech environment. You will partner with founders, board, and investors to shape strategy and financial governance.

This is a newly created leadership role requiring hands-on, entrepreneurial leadership, Swiss accounting familiarity, and fluency in German and English to drive pricing, forecasting, and reporting across international operations.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in a finance leadership role in tech/fast-growth environments.
• Experience establishing finance processes, reporting, forecasting, and controls.
• Hands-on, entrepreneurial leader with strong commercial mindset and pricing experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, cash flow planning, and financial analysis.
• Oversee accounting, audit, tax, and banking relationships with external providers.
• Establish robust financial controls and reporting processes; prepare board/investor reporting.
• Oversee corporate administration, back-office processes, and HR/payroll support.
• Drive process improvements, KPI reporting, and pricing/ business modelling.

Our client is a fast-growing, Swiss technology company who is searching for a new Head Finance / CFO. Backed by a long-term private investor, the company has ambitious growth plans including market expansion, new product development, and international growth initiatives. This is a newly created role offering the opportunity to build the finance and operations function from the ground up. As a member of the leadership team, you will partner closely with the founders, board, and investors while helping shape the company's commercial and operational infrastructure.

Job Description

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, cash flow planning, and financial analysis
• Oversee accounting, audit, tax, and banking relationships together with external providers
• Establish robust financial controls and reporting processes
• Prepare management, board, and investor reporting
• Oversee corporate administration, back-office processes, and expense management
• Support HR administration, payroll, onboarding, and recruitment activities
• Drive process improvements and operational efficiency across the organization
• Develop KPI frameworks and performance reporting
• Support pricing, commercial modelling, and business planning
• Contribute to strategic initiatives including market expansion, partnerships, and potential acquisitions
• Build scalable systems, processes, and governance structures for future growth

The Successful Applicant

A successful CFO should have:

• 10+ years of experience in a small to mid-cap environment within finance, preferably within technology, software, consulting, or high-growth businesses
• Proven track record establishing finance processes, reporting, forecasting, and operational frameworks
• Hands-on approach with the ability to operate effectively in a growing entrepreneurial environment
• Strong commercial mindset and experience supporting pricing or business model development
• Familiarity with Swiss accounting, payroll, and corporate administration
• Excellent communication skills in German and English
