Job description

Your new company
Hays are delighted to be working on an exclusive basis to recruit a Head of Finance for a high-growth SME business in a niche manufacturing/energy sector. This is a newly created role with a route to Finance Director in 3 -5 years.

Your new role
The Head of Finance is responsible for leading the financial strategy and operations of the organisation. This role ensures financial health, compliance, and efficiency while supporting strategic decision-making. The role involves overseeing financial planning, budgeting, risk management, financial reporting, and cash flow management to drive business success. The role will manage a team of circa 8 and will look after all the key elements of an SME hands-on finance function. There will also be involvement in capital appraisal and M & A work, plus the integration of newly acquired companies into the group.

What you'll need to succeed
We are looking for a qualified Accountant who can lead a team, roll up their sleeves and also work at board level. The role will involve acquisitions and due diligence, so some previous experience is beneficial. The ideal candidate would be happy to work in the Rugby office, but there will be some travel to the North on occasions. This is a tremendous role for someone ambitious, on the upward curve looking to achieve a Finance Director role in the future.

What you'll get in return
A base salary between £60000-80000 plus car allowance and bonus. Superb progression and hybrid working.
