Job Description

· Provide strategic financial advice, insight and challenge to the Executive and Strategic Leadership Teams.· Lead the development and implementation of financial strategies aligned with the orgnaisation's goals and transformation plans.· Deliver expert guidance on financial sustainability, risk, budgeting, and forecasting to inform business initiatives.· Ensure robust financial control and compliance with statutory and internal regulations, while identifying efficiency opportunities.· Act as a trusted advisor, driving value-for-money and effective use of resources.· Lead the finance transaction and administration teams, ensuring high-quality service delivery and governance.

The Successful Applicant

· A fully qualified accountant (CIPFA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).· Extensive public sector finance experience, ideally within local government and children's services.· Proven experience operating at a senior management level within a complex organisation.· A proactive and strategic thinker with a collaborative and hands-on approach· Passionate about improving outcomes for children, young people and families.
