Description

As Head of Finance, you will be at the heart of shaping the financial future of the Division. A pivotal member of the senior leadership team, you'll work closely with the Managing Director to deliver the business plan and drive sustainable, profitable growth. This role goes beyond the numbers - it's about strategic influence, operational insight, and commercial acumen. With a broad understanding of the Division's operations, you'll provide critical analysis, challenge assumptions, and support key decisions that steer the business forward.

  • Develop the business plan for the division in conjunction with other functional heads.
  • Ownership of the budget and three year forecast for the division, ensuring it is accurate and well managed, and ultimately delivering it.
  • Review and challenge proposed commercial projects including financial assumptions and VAT issues.
  • Lead, manage and motivate a Finance team of six including transaction processing, financial/management accounts and data analytics.
  • Provide support for HR, payroll and IT.
  • Manage the interim and year end process with external auditors.
  • Oversee month end process and delivery of management information locally and to Group.
  • Treasury management - ensuring accurate monthly and daily cash flow forecasting.
  • Management compliance and overall responsibility for all taxes; VAT, payroll taxes and corporation tax.

As a fully qualified ACA, ACCA, or CIMA professional, you'll bring not only technical excellence but also individual dynamism, a strategic mindset, and a passion for partnering with senior leadership to drive performance. Your experience will span financial and management accounting, forecasting, planning, and performance analysis - all underpinned by a strong operational awareness and a hands-on approach.

What You'll Bring

  • Significant post-qualification experience in industry, with a strong track record in financial control and business partnering.
  • Proven leadership in financial and management accounting, including month-end close, audit liaison, P&L and cash flow management, and insightful reporting.
  • A history of supporting and constructively challenging operational teams to drive performance and efficiency.
  • Experience leading and developing high-performing finance teams.
  • Ideally, prior experience as a Head of Finance or similar senior commercial finance leadership role.

Job Offer

  • Competitive salary in the range of £90,000 to £100,000 per annum.
