Job summary

Michael Page Finance partners with a growing, investor-backed business in Gloucester to appoint the No.1 finance professional. You will lead the finance function, partner with the MD to drive performance and shape the next phase of growth.

The role requires ACA/ACCA/ACMA or equivalent and proven leadership in a stock-intensive, commercial environment, with a strong focus on financial controls, reporting, and business partnering.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, ACMA or equivalent).
• Proven finance leadership experience within a commercial business.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and challenge performance data.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the finance function, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Provide commercial insight and analysis to support strategic decision-making.
• Deliver robust budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management processes.
• Improve financial controls, reporting capability and management information.
• Partner closely with operational and commercial teams to drive business performance.
• Lead finance systems and process improvement initiatives.
• Oversee inventory, margin and working capital performance.
• Support business growth projects, including potential acquisition activity.
• Act as a trusted adviser to senior stakeholders and the leadership team.

Job Offer

• £80,000 - £90,000 basic salary, with flexibility for an outstanding candidate.
