Job description

OutThere are exploring the market for a Head of Finance focused on managing direct reports and ensuring internal control framework is maintained.

In this position, you will take the lead in overseeing a talented team of finance professionals, ensuring that daily financial operations are executed with precision and timeliness. Your knack for fostering strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders will play a crucial role in helping to reach business objectives. We are looking for a proactive, results-driven individual who flourishes in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Key aims of role:

  • Leading the Finance team in their performance of the day-to-day financial operations, ensuring all transactions are completed accurately, timely and efficiently;
  • Working with the CFO, to develop a future-fit financial governance strategy, incorporating a robust internal control framework, and establishing best practise standards;
  • Acting as the DPO for the business. and helping to develop the ESG strategy;
  • Partnering with the Sales and Operations teams to ensure commercial contractual risks are satisfactorily managed and aligned with business growth objectives;
  • Driving the creation of a resilient global finance team that leverages technology to streamline financial controls and processes to support sustained international growth.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all accounts and investments including Billing, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Cost Accounting/Analysis, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition/Allocation;
  • Lead, motivate and develop the finance team through the objective setting, performance management and training to enhance finance team capabilities;
  • Drive the efficient use of Netsuite, ensuring efficient automated processes are in place to support strategic growth;
  • Support the Group in the design of a 'business playbook', ensuring department policies and processes are future proof, documented and adhered to;
  • Develop weekly/monthly/annual consolidated budgets and reports;
  • Collaborate with senior leadership, to identify cost saving and value creation opportunities that are both profitable and sustainable;
  • Establish and implement financial reporting systems to comply with government regulations and legislation;
Requirements
  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified;
  • Significant PQE, with international experience a distinct advantage;
  • Experience managing, leading and developing a high-performing team;
  • Exceptional numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, as well as good leadership and management abilities;
  • Strong business acumen, along with the ability to influence at all levels;
  • Advanced user of all Microsoft applications;
  • Experience using Netsuite ERP system a distinct advantage;
  • Experience in mergers & acquisitions and international finance;
  • High attention to detail; organisational skills; critical thinking and problem-solving skills; research skills; analytical skills; understanding of data privacy standards;
