Our client is a B2B group based in Wiltshire with a strong industry presence. As they continue to evolve, they are seeking a forward-thinking Head Of Finance. If you're a strategic thinker with an eye for financial excellence, this is your chance to make an impact at a leadership level. For the right candidate this will lead to a Finance Director role.

The Role

As Head Of Finance, you will be a key player in shaping the company's financial future. You will drive process improvement, enhance reporting systems, and provide strategic financial guidance to the Board. This is a hands-on role, requiring both attention to detail and the confidence to communicate financial insights effectively at a senior level.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Contribute to shaping business strategy and financial planning at a senior level.
  • Financial Oversight: Manage VAT, tax, payroll, treasury, foreign exchange, cash flow, and insurance processes with precision.
  • Business Planning: Provide sound financial and commercial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and growth modelling.
  • Reporting & Compliance: Develop systems to improve financial reporting and ensure all statutory obligations are met.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build trusted relationships with investors, external accountants, and regulatory bodies (e.g. HMRC).
  • Team Leadership: Guide, mentor, and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence.
  • HR & Operations: Oversee employment contracts, payroll, benefits, and pension schemes.
What We're Looking For

We're seeking an ACA/ACCA/CIMA-qualified accountant with SME experience and a strong commercial acumen.

Ideal candidates will bring:
  • A proactive, hands-on problem-solving approach-comfortable diving into financial details while thinking strategically.
  • Analytical, Excel, and presentation skills to support business development initiatives.
  • Experience with imported goods and foreign currency transactions (desirable).
  • A self-motivated mindset, ready to drive financial innovation.
