Head of Finance

37.5 hours per week, Monday- Friday

£68,000 -£72,000 per annum

The Camping and Caravanning Club is the world's oldest and largest Club for all forms of camping and our aim is to help people enjoy the simple pleasures that camping can bring.

We are recruiting for a Head of Finance. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of the Finance function, ensuring the provision of a high quality and professional service to the Club. Provide support, guidance and solutions to the organisation at both operational and strategic level. Develop and drive the Financial Strategy to support the overall strategic aims of the Club. Coordinate the efficient use of systems and processes, to ensure the production of timely and accurate financial and management information. To provide advice and guidance to the Finance team, and the wider organisation, ensuring the Club remains fully compliant in relation to accounting practices and tax legislation.

Daily duties and responsibilities
  • To coordinate and oversee the production of the annual budget for the Club and its subsidiaries, providing the Director of Finance & HR and wider stakeholders with a comprehensive budget pack.
  • Ensure the integrity, accuracy and compliance of the Club's financial processes and information.
  • Take responsibility for maintaining accurate financial records for the Club and its subsidiaries.
  • Support the Club's voluntary treasurer network to ensure the completeness and integrity of the wider Club's financial reporting.
  • To provide commercial analysis and decision support to cross-Club project groups, including but not limited to the Sites Development and Acquisition Groups, working closely with the Head of Insights.
  • To provide support, as required, to the Director of Finance & HR.
  • Through effective leadership, empower the team to excel in their roles, by guiding, supporting, setting objectives and monitoring and managing performance through effective communication.
Requirements
  • Professional Accountancy qualification.
  • Experience of directly managing, leading and motivating a Finance team.
  • Working knowledge of UK GAAP (FRS102).
  • Previous experience of working for a Charitable or Membership organisation is desirable.
  • Pragmatic and solutions focused.
  • Have excellent project management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Have the ability to influence and advise others.
